

Christa Daugherty is a secondary school librarian, journalism, and English teacher in south central Pennsylvania. She holds Pennsylvania Instructional II teaching certificates in School Library Media, Communication, and English.
In addition to running the library, Daugherty teaches Photojournalism at Big Spring High School and media at Big Spring Middle School in Newville, PA. There she also advises the yearbook and Quill and Scroll (journalism honor society). Previously, Daugherty taught AP Literature, Honors English II,
Honors and Academic English III, public speaking, leadership development, theater, and acting. She advised Student Council for nine years and Club CARE (a service club) for 8 years, coordinated her school's charity dance marathon (Mini-THON) for eight years, and taught public speaking and career development at a local career training school for four terms. She also served as the box office manager for the school musical, directed four musicals, and started a board game club (chess club's less prestigious cousin).

Daugherty has also worked professionally for the Theodore Roosevelt Center at Dickinson State University, the digital library "dedicated to preserving the legacy of America’s 26th president." Beginning as a summer digital archives intern, Daugherty later served as supervisor for two additional classes of interns in addition to her continued digital curation duties.
